Akiyama Enma's zanpakuto

Zanpakuto Name: Kousotsu

Release Phrase: "Resonate, Kousotsu."

Manifestation: Kousotsu despite being owned by a female, is a male spirit. He wears a full suit of silver, highly elaborate armor that appears European in style. No part of him can be seen through it except for his seemingly glowing orange eyes, much like Enma's herself. His voice seems to be a very deep, resounding echo. He carries a katana that looks just like him in his sealed state.

Sealed State Description: Kousotsu takes the form of a very standard katana. It's blade is a very shiny silver that never seems to tarnish. The tsuka-ito is a pure white, and the tsuba is in a triangular shape with one side curving out slightly.

Shikai Form Description: When released, Kousotsu takes the form of a war hammer that is the same bright silver color of it's blade in it's sealed state, and seemingly more slender and lightweight than the average war hammer. The handle is a moderate length for it's type of about 1.3 meters and has white wrapping around the last third of it for grip. The head is slightly elongated in shape with a sharp hook off of the back of it. A strap goes around her torso and over her right shoulder with a hook on her back, allowing her to "sheath" Kousotsu even when released.

Shikai Ability: Kousotsu lets off infrasonic waves which cannot be seen or heard and are able to travel well even through walls due to their wavelength. Objects and people exposed to the waves would have microscopic holes punched through their structures, weakening them by roughly 15%. To people this wouldn't make a big effect other than generally feeling unwell or slightly sick, with the purpose being that the damage of the waves would allow for devastating effects from a hit. Since Enma is a highly physical fighter, the ability works much in support of her already present strength and prowess. The amount of damage done with her hammer would seem as if she were swinging with great force, though it would require average effort on her part. Since Kousotsu is the source of resonation itself, she can "sheath" him and fight using hakuda with a similar extent of additional damage.

Bankai Name: Ikkitousen no Kousotsu

Bankai Description: Kousotsu doesn't seem to change much between shikai and bankai except for becoming slightly more slender and light, the handle becoming slightly arched and the head a bit more compact. Enma herself gains several pieces of silver armor: one around her left forearm and protecting her hand; a piece on her right shoulder connecting to the strap and forming a semi collar around her neck, extending to cover her entire arm and hand; and a piece loosely covering her left leg to about halfway down her calf. The armor coincides with the alterations to her normal shinigami uniform.

Bankai Ability: The armor that Enma gains is extraordinary lightweight, but hard, a precaution for the close quarters her zanpakuto can force her to enter. The waves emmited by Kousotsu weaken structures further, by roughly 35%, and a concentrated blast is let off from Kousotsu's head when it makes contact with a person or object, which will cause massive damage on it's own. She can also send out these same waves with her voice, whose power can be controlled by volume, ranging from a whisper to shouting. Worst may be her singing if not engaged in combat not allowing of it, which can cause widespread damage with the sound of it alone echoing. When using her voice itself, it only effects things in the direction she spoke unlike the waves emmited by Kousotsu, except for when she sings. She tends to reserve using her voice, making it a little known ability. She can be seen explaining this places strain on her vocal cords, making her voice slightly hoarse the following day, or completely absent if she uses her ability to sing.

Description: Enma is a master of hoho and it's related techniques, most notably shunpo and utsusemi.

Name: Hado #4 Byakurai
Description: A concentrated lighting bolt shot from a pointed finger.

Name: Hado #33 Sokatsui
Description: Blue flame discharge from the palm. The practitioner aims the palm of his/her hand at the target then generates a torrent of blue spiritual energy and fires it at said target. The energy moves like a direct blast or a large wave of energy depending on the amount of power placed into it.

Name: Hado #63 Raikoho
Description: A lighting-type attack. The practitioner generates yellow spiritual energy into his/her hand and forms an orb which is then fired at the target with a massive concentrated strike of energy. The effect has devastating destructive results.

Name: Bakudo #9 Geki
Description: Geki is primarily used for disabling. The practitioner draws the symbols of the spell in the air which causes his/her entire body to permeate a red energy. The same red energy engulfs the body of the target and causes complete paralysis.

Bakudo #37 Tsuriboshi
Description: Tsuriboshi is primarily used to catch. The spell creates a ball of blue energy that fires out six "ropes" from its center. The "ropes" attach themselves to any sturdy nearby object and the energy in the center solidifies into a flat elastic-like cushion. The spell can stop falling objects similar to a safety net.

Name: Bakudo #61 Rikujokoro
Description: A restraint spell which immobilizes enemies with six spiritual bands. The practitioner points his/her index finger at the target generating a spark of yellow energy. That energy summons six thin, wide beams of light that slam into a target's midsection, holding them in place. The target is then unable to move any part of their body including the parts that were not struck by the beams. This technique can also be used after using Hainawa, as the six beams of light form from the light already used in Hainawa.

Name: Hakuda
Description: Enma is a master of hakuda techniques, utilizing them frequently with and without her zanpakuto release.

Name: Zanjutsu
Description: Enma is an expert with zanjutsu, often trying to settle a fight with it before releasing her zanpakuto.
