Souseiki Ketsubou: The Rogue Espada

Personality: Normally remains stoic. But when he is tested, or when his loved ones are in danger, he can easily become filled with rage, and has been known to destroy anything in his path to get to someone. But he can also be sympathetic, and caring when the time calls for it.

Caja Negación (反膜の匪 (カハ・ネガシオン), kaha negashion; Spanish for "Negation Box", Japanese for "Anti-Membrane of Negation") is a variant of the Gillian-exclusive ability Negación used to punish Arrancar subordinates by trapping them eternally in an alternate dimension. However, should the Caja Negación be used on an Espada, the Espada will eventually break out of the alternate dimension (usually within a few hours), due to their large amount of Reiatsu.

Cero (虚閃 (セロ), sero; Spanish for "Zero", Japanese for "Hollow Flash", "Doom Blast" in the Viz translation): Like all other Hollows, they can use this blast technique. The Espada user fires a laser blast of great, concentrated destruction. While the color of most Ceros is red/crimson, several members of the Espada appear to have great color variations in their Cero; Ulquiorra's is green, Nnoitra's is golden yellow, and Nelliel's seems to be violet or pink (as she was using Cero Doble; it is unclear if her normal Cero is a different color). As he's the only Espada to have utilized its power on-screen, Grimmjow's liberal use of Gran Rey Cero, which emits a light-blue color, also counts, though his regular Cero is normally crimson.

Bala (虚弾 （バラ）, bara; Spanish for "Bullet", Japanese for "Hollow Bullet") is an Arrancar alternative to the Cero. The technique hardens the user's spiritual pressure and fires it like a bullet from their fist. Though somewhat weaker than a Cero blast, it moves about twenty times much faster than a Cero and can be fired at a much higher rate. This technique was first demonstrated by Wonderweiss Margera against Kisuke Urahara, and elaborated upon by Yammy during the same battle.

Gran Rey Cero (王虚の閃光 (グラン・レイ・セロ), guran rei sero; Spanish for "Grand King Zero", Japanese for "Royal Hollow Flash") is a particular, very strong Cero. To perform this potent variation of the Cero, the Arrancar first draws blood from the Cero-generating appendage using his or her Zanpakutō, then charges the Cero while mixing the blood with it. The result is a Cero with a much greater attack power and speed, as well as a change of color unique to the Espada. This attack was first used by Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez in order to incite Ichigo into donning his Hollow mask. Grimmjow refers to it as, "the ultimate Cero". Grimmjow is, to date, the only Arrancar that has ever used Gran Rey Cero and Caja Negación on-screen.

Garganta (黒腔 （ガルガンタ）, garuganta; Spanish for "Throat", Japanese for "Black Cavity") is how Arrancar move to and from Hueco Mundo. Kaname Tōsen and Kisuke Urahara have also demonstrated the ability to use the technique. It literally tears open the dimensional fabric separating the worlds, revealing a tunnel of whirling, torrential energy that must be focused and solidified to create a discernible pathway.

Hierro (鋼皮 （イエロ）, iero; Spanish for "Iron", Japanese for "Steel Skin") refers to the hardened skin of the Arrancar, which is a result of their compressed spiritual power. While their skin is strong enough to block even released Zanpakutō bare-handed, it is by no means impenetrable. Stronger Arrancar have proportionally stronger skin. Nnoitra Jiruga claimed his Hierro is toughest amongst the Espada; being of higher rank than Nnoitra, Ulquiorra's Hierro appears to be much tougher.

Pesquisa (探査回路 （ペスキス）, pesukisa; Spanish for "Inquiry", Japanese for "Probe Circuit") is the Arrancar equivalent of the Shinigami ability to sense Spiritual Pressure. It functions similar to a sonar. Using Pesquisa requires most Espada to enter a meditative state; however, Nnoitra has a variation of this technique that involves placing his fingers to the ground to determine an opponent's approximate location as well as the amount of Spiritual Pressure an opponent has.

Sonído (響転 （ソニード）, sonīdo; Spanish for "Sound", Japanese for "Sound Ceremony") is the Arrancar equivalent of the Shinigami Flash Steps and the Quincy Hirenkyaku; it allows the user to travel at incredibly high speeds for short distances. Use of Sonído is punctuated by a brief static sound, in contrast to the "swish" sound used for Flash Steps. Zommari claims that his Sonído is the fastest amongst the Espada; Starrk and Ulquiorra appear to be faster, however, being the Primera and Cuarta, respectively.

Name: Rikei Shuukai
Effect: Changes the physical matter of his katana, changing it's solid blade to a blade made of gas which will phase through solid objects, even souls, but slashes away mists, fogs, and hazes. The blade can also transform into a liquid of the same shape. The liquid blade helps parry liquid based attacks. He can change from any of these blafes, at any time.

Name: The Guillotine
Effect: Souseiki moves at very high speeds behind the opponents, and strikes the back of their knee. If it works correctly, they will fall on their back. Then Souseiki will move at high speeds about twenty meters above the enemy, charging a cero. Finally, he will launch a stong, "flat" cero, in the shape of a small guillotine to cut off the enemy's head. [Speed is enhanced when in resureccion.]

Name: Cólera Cero
Effect: Fires an orange cero, about 1.32 times stronger than an average cero.

Name: Avaricia Cero
Effect: Fires a grey cero, about 1.50 times the strength than an average cero.

Name: Kiri no Kikin
Effect: Souseiki's blade emits a small green mist, which will slowly weaken the enemy, and after 50 turns, will kill them.

Name: Suppai no Futtei
Effect: Souseiki's blade emits an acid that solidifies around the blade. It gives the blade slightly deeper impact, and burns at touch.

Name: Kikin Kawa
Effect: Increases the defensive power of his skin like a hierro, but nearly three times as powerful. Also, if any contact with skin, it will secrete an acid to damage and slightly hinder the attacker. [Note: This is not an abilityt, but rather his skin from his resurecion.]

Name: Envidia Cero
Effect: Fires a dark green cero, about 2.05 times the strength of an average cero.

Name: Sight of Death
Effect: The blade produces a purple haze, not very thick, but it hinders the enemy's sight. Souseiki s not effected by this.

Name: Xaoc Cero
Effect: Fires a purple cero, around the power of a Gran Rey Cero. Costs a bit less reiatsu, but is slightly weaker.

Name: Orgullo Cero
Effect: Fires a pur white cero, about 2.15 times the strength of an average cero.

Name: Apocalipsis Cero
Effect: Fires a dark red cero with a small tint of black in it. About 1.42 times the strength of a Gran Rey Cero. But it requires over three times the normal amount to charge it, and moves half as slow.


History:
Souseiki's memory of his human life does not exist.
But he remembers when he became hollow. He seemed to be greedier than the others. He always demanded more human souls. His gluttony could not be cured, until, one day, one of his "friends" had gotten him into a rotten ood. Souseiki had consumed him, and much to his surprise, he felt no need to devour humans anymore, only his own kind. It was around the time he was an Adjuchas he became calm and stabilized. He could control his hunger, but not his infatuation with power. He heard of one more final step, the vasto lorde. That day, he had consumed more that he ever had, and became ill. During his sleep, he felt a pain. It woke him up, screaming in agony his body took a more human shape, and his spiritual pressure became thicker. And before the night was through, he had gotten his wish. He became a Vasto Lorde. Months after, he had gotten into a fight with a Captain level shinigami. He had killed him, but his mask was deeply scratched. At night, he began to pick at it. His urges continued, and he started to peel off his mask, but little did he know, he was about to go through tremendous pain. All night he was screaming in pain, until it finally stopped. About 3/4 of his mask was gone, and he looked a lot ore like a human. His hair, a turquoise of sorts. His eyes, shined teal. It wasn't long until the espada found out about him. They accepted him, and his power. With a decade of training, he easily became the Primera. He had spent centuries tormenting humans, ad punishing hollow. It was until one day, he saw the most beautiful human he could imagine. They fell in love. But eventually, the un knowing Espada, had ordered him to kill her, as she knew too much of the Espada. He refused to, so they had done it for him. And it was that day, he decided to become neutral. He left the Espada, filled with grief. Though, centuries later he forgot about her. He still remained neutral as the sides of judgment and damnation, had both needed him.
